Club 2002
- Aud Jorun
and Helge Lie
Aud Jorun and Helge bought
their first Sheltie in 1968, and was soon ”catshed
up” by the Norwegian Shetland Sheepdog
Club.
Helge became deputy to the
Club board 1970. Editor of the club magazine in
1971 – 1973, and member of the magazine committee up to the issu no 1
1976. Helge was editor of NSSKs first
Handbook.
Helge was Vicepresident in NSSK
1972, and president from 1973 - 1976. In 1976 – 1980
he was
member/leader in the election-committee in NSSK.
In
1976 he became Vicepresident
in the
Norwegian Kennel Club and president
in
1988 – 2000. He is educated
to judge more that 100 different breeds, and the first he was authorised for was of course Shetland
Sheepdog in
1979.
Aud Jorun become in 1971
secretary of the club magazine. Helge was the editor of the first
Handbook, but Aud Jorun was “his right hand” in this work. She have since
then been the editor of the next 5 NSSKs Handbooks – given out
by the Club each 5th year (up to 1995). She have also made the
Clubs Guide for Breeders given out first time in 1980.
She became member of the
Clubs Breed
Council
in 1971, and secretary 1972 – 1973.
Aud Jorun was editor of the
NSSKs magazine 1971 – 1978. She was the board secretary 1976
-
1979. Board member 1973 - 1985 and vice president in
1985. Member of the election-committee 1986 –
1996. She in 1978 started in the edition of producing Hundesport – the dog
magazine belonging to the Norwegian Kennel Club – she became the editor of
the magazine in 1980’s and retired in 2005 !
Aud Jorun and Helge have
(in 2002) imported 20 shelties from England, the most of them have been of
great importance for the quality of the breed in Norway.
Helge and Aud Jorun have
given out the video "Visitors to British breeders and British Shows 1972 -
2000" sold over the whole world, and also sold
by the English Shetland Sheepdog Club.
Helge (editor) and Aud Jorun
have worked out the Norwegian Kennel Clubs book ” Hunder og hundesport
gjennom 100 år" (in English “Dogs and activitys with dogs through 100
years”).
